Story

Aramis is a 16.2hh 13 year old gelding and was recued by a lady called Lorna. Aramis was in a bad state when Lorna got him. He was skin and bone. Nothing too him. She nursed him back to good health and thats when Lorna gave him to me In 2014.

Me and Aramis have an amazing bond. He has an amazing big heart and is such a loving horse. In the beginning of 2018 my mental health and my career took a turn for the worse and i was struggling with everything. This is when i decided to put Aramis out for loan.

He went put on loan on the 10th May 2018 to a home which i thought it wad going to be a forever loan home. How wrong i was for him to be returned to me on Sunday 26th August 2018. He was returned in white brushing boots. I removed the brushing boots and kept him in a stable over night. When i returned in the morning Aramis right rear fetlock was unbelievably swollen. I have never seen anythig like this.

The loaner did advise me the vet had been out and the vet said it was annular ligament syndrome. But he had been on bute and had made a recovery. That his leg was not swollen anymore and he was out to graze..... By the state of his legs he had not made a recovery.

I have also been in hospital in August for 10 days due to my mentla health and have been unable to work do i am struggling with all veteninary costs. I dont want this to be the end of the line for my big lad especially if this is treatable.

I am begging anyone and everyone for help and support as this horse deserves everything. I have spoken to my vet and it had been advised for him to go to rainbow (horse veteninary) to have scans and xrays to determind how good/bad his injurys are. Then i can make a decision what can be done with him.
