    Story

As part of our recent visit to China we visited an orphanage with our family. We all fell in love with many of the kids there and wanted to bring them back with us. We really wanted to do something to help. We decided as a family that we would try to find ways this year to raise money for the children at this orphanage. A local charity in Chengdu started by a group of ex pats work directly with the orphanage we visited (and others) to help fund medical procedures needed by many of the children. Hopeful Hearts help fund vital heart surgery for children with congenital heart conditions and other problems.

On Sunday 11th June, I will be running the Southampton 5k Gung-ho and I hope to raise lots of money for Hopeful Hearts! Please sponsor me by giving to our just giving crowdfunding page!! This will be my first 5k race which may not sound like much but for a couch potato like me who is very unfit and slow in training it is going to take a lot of effort. Also although the inflatables on the course look like fun I think its gonna take quite a lot of effort to get my behind over a large inflatable climbing wall!! Please give generously!

We are the Bemroses. A crazy, loud, Jesus-loving family from Southampton. We want to make a little bit of difference to the lives of kids we met this year when we visited China. Many of them are unwell and need vital heart surgery to survive. We want to save their lives.
