Story
Hi my names stephanie and im only 47 but a little while ago i started getting tingling in my arms and fingers and the top of my right leg turned numb ! I was rushed in for a mri which showed a degenerative spine injury ! This was treated in january of this year with facet joint injections into my spine which worked but for only a few weeks ! I contacted my gp who refered me for a follow up but not untill the 29th of may ! the pain had been quite severe managed my morphine naproxen and gabapenten among just a few i take ! But i was still mobile ! My son Cole is 10 he is the only child i have living at home now and has autisim . A few days ago i tried to get up out of bed to take cole to school and my legs just folded i cudnt walk ! I managed to get a neigbour to help me get him to school then called my gp who rushed me into hospital via ambulance ! After tests and another mri it was discovered my back has worsened and i need a spinal fusion but this cant go ahead untill the inflamation has gone down but should be within the next few weeks ! I live on my own with Cole who needs to be taken and collected from school plus i still need my independance cole breaks up from school soon and i cudnt bear for him to be stuck in weeks at a time because of me ! Plus after the surgery i wont be able to walk for 6-8 weeks and after that i will still need to keep off my feet ! So im pretty desperate not for me but for my little boy please please help me raise enough to be able to buy a cheap mobility scooter so i can keep comes routine as normal as possible and give me the chance to have a tiny bit of independence please x
