I've raised £500 to help a brave little girl called Poppy Walker, who suffers from Cortical Dysplacia. We hope to achieve this by running the Great North Run.

Story

Poppy is a 2 year old happy little girl who was born with a neurological disability called Cortical Dysplacia, which means part of her brain hasn't grown correctly. This causes drug resistant epilepsy along with other complications. She is highly medicated and spends a lot of time in hospital enduring painful and unpleasant tests and procedures. She is delayed in her development and has sensory processing issues. Poppy is awaiting complex brain surgery at Great Ormond Street and her family regularly travel to and from London for appointments. The surgery will take months to recover from, and the long lasting effects are unknown. We are raising money to fund sensory and medical equipment to aid poppy with her recovery and also to assist Poppy's family with the numerous trips to London.
