Our Dog Vinnie is needing life saving surgery!

In January 2025 our dog took unwell, looking like he was straining when doing the toilet. Rushed to the vet to be told he has crystals in his urine, twice. This treatment along with the various hospital stays & visits cost around £2000.

We then got told it was a wrong diagnosis and he needed surgery to help his bladder. This again was incorrect treatment and we got referred to Roundhouse Vet who discovered that he has a liver shunt and needs this surgery to survive. This scan to identify his illness cost us £1500.

Right now Vinnie is on a special hepatic diet and medication daily, this is not a long term solution for him. His surgery is booked for March 31st 2025.

His surgery is costing £4036.85 - this is an estimate as costs could increase if he requires additional days in hospital. This unfortunately isn’t covered with insurance!
