Story

In december last year we found out mum had a rare form of cancer called urachal cancer. It only effects 2% of the people who are diagnosed with cancer and is very agressive. Mum had a major op in February to remove her uracheal tube ( which is behind your bellybutton) as well as 30% of her bladder. Since then she has been trying to adapt but was taken into hospital 2 days ago, only to be told its spread through her bladder and into her lymph node. They have also found multiple blood clots in mums lungs so she will now have to take medication for that for the rest of her life, which means any further surgery is not an option. We are seeing the oncology specialist soon to see what they can do but there is a new treatment for the immune system which im looking into.
The idea behind this page is to try and help ease the financial burden on my mum and to fund some immunotherapy as its not widely available on the NHS yet. It cost about £4000 a go!
We dont know what will happen yet but if you look for this cancer on the internet you will understand why i feel the need to ask for help with this. Many thanks for listening and if you can please donate even the smallest amount then thats a big help. Also please tell everyone you know. Thanks
Steph,
