I'm raising £1,850 for the Balmoral Centre’s 50th birthday. As the only community facility in a deprived ward in Westcliff-on-Sea, the volunteer-led Balmoral Centre has been providing a home for all for an astonishing 50 years … clubs, societies, groups, families, individuals … where activities and meetings can take place in comfort and safety, and where all are welcome. We are fully inclusive and accessible to everyone.

The Centre is a two-storey purpose built community centre; an unfunded charity, it pays its way by hiring out its three rooms - a main Hall and two smaller meeting rooms - at affordable rates to ensure its facilities are available to all.

To bring our facilities into the 21st Century (at last!) we need to furnish each room with a mobile media unit to enable presentations to be shared with audiences via a screen accessible to all. As we celebrate half a century of service to the community this seems to us the best way to mark such a significant milestone.
