Every Feather Bird Rescue has been in operation for close to 5 years. It is a small rescue that runs predominantly from our home. Recently we have taken the heart-breaking decision to temporarily close due to harassment by a neighbour. We would love to reopen bigger and better than ever and to do that we would like to buy some land on which to set up our rescue. We aren't looking for much - just a small piece of land where we can place more release aviaries for our recovering birds. The treatment of sick or orphaned birds will still take place from home but the land will enable us to help more and take some of the pressure of other rescues. Every Feather is one of the only bird rescues in Bolton and serves the whole of the Greater Manchester area - we have even travelled as far as Sheffield to save birds.

At the moment Every Feather has one release aviary which is devoted to pigeons - land would enable us to set up a corvid aviary, song bird aviary and even an area for wild fowl. We also have a policy whereby no bird is euthanized if it has quality of life - this means that we do have long-term or even permanent residents and we would like to be in a position where we never have to turn these away.
