Story

We are doing a Sponsored Litter Pick! This is not only to look after our lovely village, protect wildlife and our pets but also to keep our village beautiful for us all to enjoy for many years to come.... Please support us to raise some money towards funding a brand new playground in our school as the current playground is unsafe and can no longer be used. The cost of this new playground is £20,000 so every penny we raise will make a huge difference.

We are lucky to live in a village with plenty of open spaces and beautiful places to enjoy. The threat and accumulation of rubbish and waste in areas of our village however is very real.

Sebby, Georgia, Amelia, Lydia, Elise, Archie, Edie, Fin, Tilly, Farah, Iris, Finley, Scarlett, Penelope, Isabelle, Georgia, Arissa, Hessa, Georgie, Flo, Emma, Joshua, Jemima, Hannah and Florence and the team at Hagley Primary School have decided to hold a Community Litter Pick in their home village of Hagley on Sunday 27th February 2022

The Community Litter Pick is being coordinated by our village green a new and exciting local business, who provide a refill and eco product delivery service to households and businesses in the local community and surrounding areas. It aims to encourage more people to make small environmentally friendly changes, which together will have a HUGE impact on the future of the planet.

The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country is kindly providing the litter picking equipment. They too recognise the importance of removing litter from a natural ecosystem.

West One, Hagley have kindly offered to feed our special litter Pickers next week once they are finished - a huge thank you to them for providing our children with all the food and drink they will need to refresh and re-energise after a busy afternoon!

Please can you support this wonderful cause by sponsoring us to perform this fantastic activity and make a massive difference to our community - we are so proud of the children and hope you are too! Thank you for your support xx
