Story

On April 22nd 2018 John William Baxter (my father in-law) lost his fight against a terrible illness. He was local resident and business owner in Hartlepool and his loss will be sadly felt for a long time. Not only was he the head of our family but he was a funny and helpful person. He had an amazing view from his front room window overlooking Seaton and the headland beach and even as far over to Redcar. It would be tremendous if, with your help we could arrange for a memorial bench to be placed close to his home so other people (including family) could sit even just for a short while and take in his wonderful view which he enjoyed so much.

Update: I have ment with a member of the HBC and we have selected a bench which can be viewed from the window John used to look out from. This bench has been taken away for refurbishment. The hope is that it will be complete within 3 weeks just after the miles for men race. The cost of this is much cheeper than orginally informed hence I have reduced the target above. Any money that is raised above the required amount will be donated to a worthy local charity. Thank you.

To thank everyone I will be taking place in this years 2018 miles for men along Seaton Carews beach front on 29th July.

Thank you for your support.
