On the 20th of Feb. My wife,s mother Dorothy died unexpectedly after being taken into hospital the day before.
I and my wife went to arrange her funeral a few days later and were shocked to find that we have to pay £1014 deposit for the £3500 funeral cost.
I and my wife are both receiving benifit as I have been unable to work because of disability and illness,
we have been told that help with funeral cost will not be payed untill after the final bill has been sent, which is after the funeral .

It is now a month later and we still have not had Dorothy,s funeral.
My wife is the last surviving relative and it is causing her a great deal of stress not being able to have a funeral for her mother.
Asking for help here amongst all these good causes is probabably the most embarassing thing I have ever done and I promise that when finances allow in the future we wil donate to other causes.
Tomorrow is Mother's Day and my wife is faced with her mother lying in a mortuary instead of a decent funeral.
