As Glen Community Church reaches its 3rd anniversary as a witness to the Glen estate, Newtownards, I wanted to do something to support the sustainability of this Church Plant.
Glen Community Church was set up as a Church Plant to serve the local community of the Glen in Newtownards under the worship and witness of St Marks Church of Ireland in the town within the Church Planting initiative of the Diocese of a Down and Dromore.
As the Church Leader of Glen Community Church , and someone who hasn't been on the saddle of a bicycle for many years, I want to do something that takes me way out of my comfort zone.
I will be cycling over 50 miles as I leave the Glen estate, travel the coastal route of the Ards Peninsula, returning to the Glen on Saturday 26th August.
Glen Community Church engages with the local community, meeting their needs through children's, youth and community initiatives, making a difference not only to the community, but to individual lives.
Donating to my sponsored event will help keep the youth clubs going; our kids club running; and our church family building community.
