£210raised of £200 target by 16 supporters

Weʼve raised £210 to Go Vegan Scotland, a grass roots, Vegan advocacy volunteer group

    Kirkintilloch, United Kingdom
Funded on Tuesday, 21st November 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Go Vegan Scotland is a not for profit volunteer group, focused on vegan advocacy and education across the whole of Scotland. They aim to generate momentum and bring the goal of a vegan world, starting with a vegan Scotland, that bit closer.

As well as supporting groups in other parts of Scotland to set up their own local information stalls the group hold regular stalls in Glasgow and Edinburgh. They set up on the street and people come to them to talk about what being vegan means. The increase in vegan numbers is exciting and the availability of vegan food, in the shops and eateries is astounding. It is crucial we support one another at this point in our history. The tipping point is hopefully getting very close.

I will be running the Great Scottish Run on Sunday 1st October and the Neil McCover Memorial half marathon on Sunday 8th October and would welcome any support you can give me in raising money for this amazing group of people who are doing something to make a difference. Thank you 😃👍🏽💚

So pleased more than my target was raised....just. Thank you so much to everyone who supported me in any way; donating, sharing, encouragement on the days of my runs. It means so much. And Go Vegan Scotland will use this money to get out to more Scottish towns with their vegan information stalls. Look out for them or contact them to talk about them coming to your town. Once again thank you 💚

Thanks everyone who has shared my page and donated so far. It's getting close to my first run on 1st October and I'm half way to achieving my target. Hope to see some of you there to cheer the runners on.

Hello, thanks for visiting, I enjoy running & the reason I am doing this is because I am vegan and wanted to do something to support the work GVS are doing in our towns and cities. They have no formal funding and are doing this really important work on behalf of all the animals.
