Poppy was rescued by us a few weeks ago after being attacked by another fox which caused a serious wound on one of her hind legs. She is being treated for this injury and I am pleased to say that it is healing nicely.

On arrival here at the rescue centre we also noticed that she has a problem with her left eye and a cataract has formed over the eye causing partial blindness in this eye. If left untreated the condition of the eye will only deteriorate and eventually will lead to blindness in that eye.

We are now desperately trying to raise the funds for Poppy to be seen by a specialist ophthalmologist and have an operation to have the cataract removed. This of course will be a very expensive operation and we have been given a rough estimate, by the vet, of about £2500.

This beautiful young vixen has not had the best start in life and we really want to give her the chance of being able to see out of both eyes before being released back into the wild.
