    Story

The Malvern Hills Group Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is a member group (registered charity number 1074348) of the national RDA Group and is reliant on voluntary help and donations to deliver its services. They have a close working relationship with a local school based in Worcestershire and their activities are specially designed for the children that have both physical and learning difficulties. Their aim is to ensure that every child receives tailored care and attention physical and psychosocial therapy, enjoyment and a chance to achieve goals. During every riding session they record the performance of every child against set criteria to enable them to measure individual progress during the school term. This enables them to work with the teachers to amend their activities as required to get the best from each child. At the end of every term they recognise the child’s achievements during an award ceremony, whereby the child receives an endeavour certificate and rosette.

At the moment due to budget constraints at the school, Malvern Hills RDA is fully funding all the costs. Your donation will enable Malvern Hills Group RDA to continue creating an effective environment for self-expression and learning for those children who come to them as part of their school day.

Teachers from the local school feedback that they notice benefits back in the classroom, including greater focus, self-confidence, self-esteem and enhanced social skills.

Please help Malvern Hills RDA to continue making a fundamental difference to those they aspire to support achieve their goals.

Thanks to everyone that supported me. The ride was tough and hilly but enjoyable. The money raised will be much appreciated by the charity.

As a keen cyclist I'm taking on the challenge of completing the 100mile Velo Birmingham ride in late September to help raise funds for a local charity that I know currently have a funding issue and I would like to support them in their cause.
