****KICK-A-THON****

Every year we at Family Martial Arts do a kick-a-thon - this is when we ask our students to do 1000 kicks in one session for a local charity.
Last year our South Liverpool school raised just under £6,000 for Ben, a 4 year old boy from Speke who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
This year all the Family Martial Arts schools are getting together to raise money for 19 year old Hannah who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Hannah was diagnosed with bowel cancer in May of this year after being told on numerous occasions it was irritable bowel syndrome, they later found out she also had 4 cancerous tumours on her liver, they cut some of her bowel out and started chemo hoping the liver tumours would shrink, the tumours did shrink and Hannah was told everything was working and had a bright future until she started getting excruciating pains, they investigated and unfortunately found that although her tumours were shrinking on her liver it had spread to other places and they were no longer looking for a cure she is now terminally ill... we're trying to raise money so she can cross some things off her bucket list and also buy a motorised wheel chair so she can keep some of her independence.
