I'm raising £500 for a blue plaque for Jimmy (James) Lang. Lang was the world's first professional footballer who moved between towns to be paid to play football. He moved from Glasgow in 1876 to play for The Wednesday (now Sheffield Wednesday). There is a mock up image of the proposed plaque below.
