Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Children with autism, down syndrome and related disabilities are still being marginalized and not recognised in third world countries like Namibia.
Almarie Mostert, a teacher from London, started a school call Stepping Stone School(who is now owned by Stepping Stone Trust) in 2014 to address the needs of these vulnerable children.
It soon become clear that a bigger facility would be needed to accommodate these children as they grow older and can't be in the same class room as the new 2 year olds.
Land was purchased(with a bank loan) from the municipality(council) at a discounted rate and we are working with an architect now to draw up plans for the new building.
The purpose of this campaign is to hopefully raise enough money to pay for the building costs.

Morning everyone, unfortunately we are not close to the target we have set, however, the funds we raised, together with the funds raised from our golf day, should allow us to get the building plans drawn up and approved by the municipality. Once again, thank you for your generous contributions.
