Weʼve raised £250 to help Steve go to the West Indies in 2018 for a cricket event just for Visually Impaired coaches.

Story
This is all about supporting Steve’s bid to travel to the West indies in the Summer of 2018. People have been so generous! We set an original target of £1300 and already have £900. £250 of this has come through JustGiving - brilliant!
Steve has been invited to join a team of cricket coaches for the visually impaired (VI) for this once in a lifetime trip.
This is part of the development of cricket within the UK for the VI and there are regional centres for this worthwhile and rewarding work.
The BCEW plan to take 20 VI players and 4 coaches on the trip and to play at least 4 T20 matches.
Steve has qualified as a Coach to ECB level 2 and has worked very hard to attain this level. This has now been recognised and I am sure you will all like to join me in giving him our support.

7 years agoWe had a very successful chess event at Poole Chess Club on Sat 29 July and it boosted funds to an amazing £900. We have until 11 August to reach our original goal of £1300.
