David and Steve are both turning 60 in July and September.
To mark the occasion, they have decided to raise funds for Gunjur Dog Patrol, a charitable organization based in The Gambia that they have connections with and have seen directly all the great work they undertake.
Gunjur Dog Patrol provide a range of community based advice and direct support to both dogs and local pet owners within the community.
Earlier in the year when we stayed at https://footstepsinthegambia.com/ we got to see first hand some of the emergency care and subsequent treatment the dogs were given.
On average, the cost of neutering a dog is approximately £35.00 per dog, depending on gender and vets available.
The neutering program is just one aspect of the work they do and they provide a range of other services such as education and training for young people and supporting local dog owners providing direct care.
Recognizing the benefits of an ongoing program, David and Steve have decided to try to raise funds to support all the good work as they celebrate their 60th Birthdays.
They aim to raise £2100 which will pay for 60 dogs to be neutered
We will be running this fund raiser up until 10th September which is Steve's 60th and we will be updating with photos and information.
