Story
Gary was unexpectedly taken seriously ill in the middle of September. He has since been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Pseudomyxoma Peritonei. This type of cancer effects 1 in 1 million people. There are only 2 hospitals in the UK that can perform the type of operation that he needed. Gary was sent up to Basingstoke hospital and was under the care of some amazing consultants and doctors who specialise in this field. Gary underwent a gruelling 10 hour operation with further follow up consultations to be had. We don’t know what the future holds, but the surgery he has received has given him extra time as a family and for his wife Lauren and their 2 boys Harry and Elliott.
