For those of you who dont know me mine name is Matt and Steven is my partners cousin.This fundraising page has been set up with full support of Stevens mum Tammy.

On Wednesday 20th September 2017 Steven Hughes sadly passed away at the young age of just 20 years old.

In February 2017 Steven was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer. Over the following several months he put up the biggest fight and fought hard against some big battles. The gruelling treatment of cancer is said to be one of the hardest things to deal with yet all through his chemotherapy and radiotherapy Steven didn’t complain or get angry once.

Sadly a few weeks ago after the cancer had almost taken over his whole body he was given the awful news that there was nothing else they could do and that he only had a few weeks to live. Again Steven was so selfless during this distressing time and was more concerned about how his family had taken the news. He was a caring, loyal, clever, funny young man and a very talented musician. He will be missed terribly by all that knew him-sleep tight Steven xxx

We are raising money to go towards the cost of Stevens funeral. He has pretty much planned the whole thing himself and we really want to give him the send off he so much deserves.

The average cost of a funeral in the UK is around £4000. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. If we are lucky enough to have any funds left over, one of Steven's wishes was to set up a charity to help other young musicians who may be in the same situation he was. We are working with Clic Sargent to do this.
