Story
I'm raising £5,000 for health/medical adaptations for Steve Quinn who is currently in hospital where he has just had his leg amputated, Doctors are still investigating to what is causing the problems and are continuing to fight to give Steve the best standard of life possible.
Steve's work colleagues are completing a cycle ride coast to coast to coast (Redcar to Morcombe to Redcar) on 11-13th of April to raise as much money as possible to allow Steve to make adjustments after this life changing event.
Steve, a normally fit and well man, in the early years of his new career as a lecturer at Middlesbrough college, started feeling a pain in his leg in September 2024 this moved quickly to losing feeling in his leg, foot and arm, between September to March he had multiple tests that gave no indication to what was causing this, in March 2025 Steve was admitted to hospital where a blood clot was found in his leg and operated on. Unfortunately, this was too late and eventually he had to have the leg amputated below the knee, Steve currently remains in hospital undergoing more testing as his other leg is deteriorating.
