Story

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to read through my cause, I will be competing in the event tough mudder to try and raise as much money as possible to go to an organisation called LINE OF DUTY which help ex and current military and emergency services get through hard and struggling times even providing help for people that suffer with PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) which often gets forgotten about but is such a common thing with our military and emergency services.

One of our servicemen or women commits suicide almost every two weeks due to PTSD.
Nearly 400 troops killed themselves between 1995 and 2014.
Hundreds ended their misery on military bases over a 20-year period in which we fought battles in Iraq and Afghanistan.

40 % of Ambulance crews are physically attacked by the public and 9 in 10 are showing signs of becoming mentally ill, and 34% suffer from experiences that occur in other areas of the hospital e.g a&e department and merteranty.

Approximately 7% of firefighters meet criteria for a current diagnosis of PTSD.

They give there everything but receive little to no support in return.

Thanks for reading through my long post and please anything you can spare to sponser me for tough mudder would be much appreciated weather how big or small every little penny will help make a difference to such a good cause.

Thanks again
Steve
