Hellooo,

As part of our masters degree myself and Arijus have been given the opportunity to work alongside Raleigh from July 22nd - August 25th, to help provide basic services such as education, health care and clean water to communities in poverty stricken remote areas.

Costa Rica is seen as a beautiful tourist spot however the native parts of Costa Rica have a higher infant, child, and general mortality rate as well as higher rates of malnutrition due to lack of provision and history of inequality. We often take for granted the fact that we have clean running water, healthcare and education readily available to us and know we don't have to worry about where we get it from and what diseases we may be prone to.

We will be travelling to Costa Rica to work alongside the locals to build a school from scratch to provide an educational platform that ultimately will have huge impact on the village, improving the quality of life and decrease the death rate.

We have set a target to raise £2,500 for the charity which will provide the materials needed to build the school and have attached some videos of what the expedition entails.
