Weʼve raised £1,315 to fund urgent repairs following four break-ins in four weeks and to improve security around the church and protect the stained glass windows.

- Funded on Thursday, 30th August 2018
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Our beautiful village church in Barnham, West Sussex, has been victim to a number of break-ins, general vandalism and theft over the last few years.
During May and June 2018 the shed, vestry and church were broken into 4 times with items stolen and a great deal of damage caused each time. The cost of repairs and basic security measures all falls on our small congregation.
We have no access to central funds and so we are trying to raise £5000.00 for the following items:
Replacement of churchyard equipment stolen from shed - £250.00
Lock changes and keys - £115.00
Window repair - £285.00
Basic CCTV system - approx £500.00
Security shutters for vulnerable vestry window - £650
Protective grilles for stained glass - £3200
St Mary's has been at the heart of our village for 1000 years - please help us ensure that it remains open as a safe and welcoming place for everyone in our village and beyond.
We are holding a gift day with cream tea on Sunday 29th July from 2.30 to 5.30 in the church and churchyard. Everyone welcome.
If you are able to gift-aid your donation you may wish to contact churchwarden Bradley Smith on email@example.com
Your support would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Just a casual search of news in Chichester, a much-beloved town where I lived many years ago, brought out this plea for help. My donation is not large but I hope it helps.Kingston, Ontario, Canada
