St James church has been working alongside the Queen Edith Community Forum to provide a Food Hub for past 18 months so that local families and individuals have been able to collect food each week. We lost some crucial income during the pandemic related lockdowns between 2020 and 2021 when the building was closed for all other purposes and we lost a regular source of income from room hiring. We still pay for heating, lighting and all those regular costs like the ministry share, which we pay to the diocese. Thanks to the generosity of our regular givers and other donations we are making huge strides towards paying our way so that we can continue to expand our work in the neighbourhood with families, the elderly and other local groups.
