Story
Welcome to my JustGiving page in support of orphaned children in Njombe, Tanzania
I am about to embark on a great personal adventure and would welcome your charitable support.
Five friends and I will be climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the highest freestanding mountain in the world. First, as a personal challenge and secondly to help and improve the lives of orphaned children in Njombe, Tanzania.
The climb commences on 14 September 2016 following the Lemosho route for eight days making the summit attempt at 5,895m (19,340ft) on 20 September 2016.
"Voices around the world" is a charity project that is helping needy children in Africa through music and education. This year's special project is "Lighting up the Flame" for the orphaned children in the town of Njombe, Tanzania.
Here's the link: http://www.voicesaround.com/the-njombe-project.
The Njombe project is supporting St Mary's School because many of the local children are orphaned due to the high levels of aids/HIV in the area.
The school has support to improve the buildings infrastructure and educational curriculum but no sports facilities and equipment. They need goal posts, nets, footballs, volleyballs, some external gym equipment and an area where the children can exercise at breaks from their learning.
The funds raised from climbing Kilimanjaro will be used to provide recreational equipment and sports facilities. This is essential to maintaining the wellbeing of the children and improving their educational progress and giving them an improved start to their unfortunate and in some cases lonely childhood.
Any charitable support you can give will be warmly and gratefully received.
Kind Regards, Steven

Well done Steve! A great effort. I saw Mt Kilimanjaro from a minibus and that was enough for me! ;-)
