In June 2017, my sister Claire (32) was diagnosed with T-ALL acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma/Leukaemia an aggressive life changing form of blood cancer. This was an incredible shock to the family especially with my sister having two young children, Tia (6) and Lily (8). Due to the diagnosis it has meant that Claire has had to spend a lot of time being away from her family undergoing treatment.

In February 2018, Claire was in remission and this enabled her to create some more magical memories with her children, husband Hayden and her Mum Debbie. Unfortunately, this terrible disease returned in September 2018 and Claire died on 20th December 2018 at the Princess Alice Hospital.

Claire’s funeral will be taking place on Tuesday 15th January 2019 at 14:00 at Hanworth Crematorium, all her friends are welcome. A celebration of Claire’s life will be taking place straight after her funeral at Spelthorne Sports Club.

As a family we have collected a lot of money for The Royal Marsden Hospital and Cancer Research UK already and will continue to do so in the future. One of Claire’s final wishes was for friends not to buy flowers for the funeral and instead set up a JustGiving page to start a trust fund for Lily and Tia’s to support Hayden in securing the children’s financial future and help them to buy their first car or pay for some university costs. As a family and if you feel comfortable doing so, we would be extremely grateful if you would be able to donate to this JustGiving Page as an alternative to buying flowers.
