Steven is a 53 year old funny, kind ,thoughtful ,fun loving ,determined young man,he dispite his medical issues always tries to remain positive , ten years ago he was a fit healthy man he’d go swimming every day before work.On valentines day 2009 his life changed forever ,Steven drove to see his mum they were having their usual fun and jokes having a laugh when steven saw nothing but darkness he had fallen and as he fell his neck gave out a chilling “snap”.

He woke in hospital two weeks later to be told of the devastating news that he had c3 c4 c5 spinal cord injury , he was totally paralysed with zero movement in his body ,he underwent critical surgery and had three metal plates inserted but the consultants prognosis was not a good one he was told he will never walk again his whole whole life had changed forever ,from that moment with the love and support of his wonderful wife and the professionals at the rehabilitaton home his home had been after release from hospital his determination and hard work allowed him to first make movement in his feet then upon release take a few very tentative steps with the help of support aids , sadly for steven this is as good as its going to get so he is heavily dependant on a wheelchair to get around but he depends on hi wife to achieve this as he has no upper body strength and little movement in his hands ,so he is house bound without lisas help . he would surely be in a care if it wasn’t for her .

Steven craves some kind of independence the simple task of just going to the shop things most of us do without even thinking about it ,we take so much for granted steven cant do .

But he could do with your help steven needs a mobility scooter so he can do theese things go to the shop buy a paper ,go to the park just because its good to get out even go visit a friend .sadly he is unable to get any assistance with a mobility scooter and has to fund it himself ,we need your help to raise just £500. This will purchase a suitable “set of wheels” for him to enjoy the simple things ,not forgetting taking a huge amount of pressure from his wife I know myself how backbreaking it is to push a grown man in a manual wheelchair .
