Story
Steven was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of incurable cancer in 2016, aged just 36. Because conventional cancer treatments do not cure this strain, Steven is undertaking palliative care, pain management drugs & clinical trials in America where he lives with his wife Veronica and their two sons, aged 2 and 7.
As you know, there is no NHS in America. Although Steven has health insurance, that doesn't cover the cost of all the treatment he needs, so he and Veronica have to pay for the rest. Steven's illness and treatment also means he has had to take time off work.
Steven hopes to be well enough to travel home to the UK for a few weeks to see friends and family and to get a positive boost from being back. He'll need medical assistance to make the journey and have to take unpaid time from work while here. Steven also hopes it may be possible to seek treatment at The Christie Cancer Hospital. Every donation, however small will help towards him coming home. Thank you xx
