The NLRC Committee is very grateful to our Stewards for setting up the club’s “Just Giving” crowd-funding and indeed to everyone who has kindly contributed to it. Its purpose is to raise funds to allow the club to make improvements which would in more normal times have been funded from our operating surplus. These include a project to increase the size of the clubhouse bar opening so that it is more welcoming, wider and higher and incorporates a roller shutter for security when the Bar is not open, and to replace the Bar counter. The club plans that these improvements will be implemented by volunteers. Money is needed to pay for the materials and equipment - in the case of the Bar project that is the new roller shutter and counter. The crowd funding will close at the end of May.
