Story
I am very proud to be taking over as Youth Chair of Seaford Town FC, a historic non-profit grassroots football club in Seaford, East Sussex.
Seaford Town provides the opportunity to play football for everyone in our community - from our amazing Seal Pups at pre-school to the Mens and Womens first teams who fly our flag in competitive leagues, while our Mens and Womens veterans teams show that although bodies may age, the spirit never weakens.
Our commitment to football for all means we have prioritised both girls' football and our All Inclusive teams, who support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs to play they game they love.
The Covid-19 pandemic has hit grassroots football hard. Additional funding is needed to enable Seaford Town FC to continue to thrive at every age group.
I have therefore launched this Youth Chair's Appeal with a target of raising £10,000 as a cash injection to the club. I'm hoping that all those who love football and want to see the greatest number of children, young people and adults enjoy it will support the appeal, at whatever level they are able:
£70 will pay for for a set of balls for a youth team
£200 covers the cost of a hardship place at the club, allowing a child or young person from a disadvantaged background to play with their friends at no cost to their family.
£1,000 would let every youth team enter an extra summer tournament next year free of charge, giving up to 500 kids football memories that will last forever.
