We're raising £1,000 support three young adults to attend World Youth Day 2027 in Korea.

World Youth Day is known for cultivating deeply impactful moments in the spiritual lives of its attendees. We wish to support these young member of our parish to receive this formative experience at this early stage in their faith lives. We pray that they return on fire for Christ and ready to pour out in service back to our parish community.

To achieve this we are holding a fundraising pilgrimage walk from the Shrine of St Augustine in Ramsgate to Canterbury Cathedral. 19-miles in a day. This route covers the same ground walked by St Augustine when he arrived in England, bringing Christianity to our shores. We will complete the walk on 26 September 2026.

These three young men from St Francis RC Church in Maidstone - Joseph, Joshua, and Osinachi will also be accompanied by our assistant parish priest Fr Stephen.

The proceeds will go towards their transport, accommodation, and travel fees.

£10 could cover a meal and a coffee

£25 could cover a keepsake from their trip

£75 could cover the price of their travel luggage
