At St Giles Hotels, we have had the privilege of serving you, our guests, for 25 years and running. We’ve made it through many highs, a few lows, and have always been able to keep our doors open to eagerly welcome you. Sadly, this global crisis is unlike anything we have ever faced before. Due to local mandates and putting staff and guest health and welfare first, we made the difficult decision to close our doors until the world is healed and we may dust off those door locks.

As we try to live by our mantra, Hotels with Heart, it breaks our collective hearts that we cannot continue to engage with our guests, coworkers, friends and family while working through this difficult time. As the majority of our team - from housekeepers and front desk agents, to servers and cooks - have been placed on furlough, our lower income-earning team will have significantly less to live with during this time.

To help alleviate the burden and stress on our family members, the St Giles Hotels’ leadership team has created the Hotels with Heart Uplift Fund. The fund began with leftover donations from past fundraising, however we are now opening it up to you, our extended St Giles Family and the heart of our company, our beloved guests.

100% of proceeds will be used for the benefit and support of team members who are struggling personally and financially due to the effect of COVID-19.

Our hearts are with our cherished family, our St Giles Employees, and our family-in-arms, the extended hospitality community facing the same circumstances. The impact on the industry is unfathomable, with all sorts of friends closing their doors, from the 700 room hotels in once-bustling urban centres, to the 4 seat restaurants on a secluded beach. Each and every one of the ~266 million souls who work in hospitality are feeling this crisis acutely.
