Weʼve raised £1,190 to Repair the Bells at St Hubert's Church, Corfe Mullen

    Story

St Hubert’s Church Corfe Mullen, Dorset, is a church built in the 13th Century with bells dating back to the 1602. The 6 bells are active 52 weeks of the year giving the opportunity for the local people of all ages to join and learn the art of ringing church bells and ringing for services, weddings and special occasions.

The church requires help raising funds for the repairs to its bells to keep this long tradition going and getting the younger generations involved for the next 100 years and beyond.

The number 2 bell support bearings have failed and sheared causing the bell to fall into the frame and requires repairs along side the number 1 bell. We cannot ring these two bells due to the damage caused.

Any help given would be much appreciated and raising the funds through just giving will give us the opportunity to repair the damage and to continue this long tradition, keeping the young ringers involved with the art of ringing.
