Story
St Laurence, Winslow
We wanted to do something tangible to support the benefice team in the amazing work they have done during the Covid-19 pandemic, in an activity which would give everyone a chance to contribute, and participate if they wish.
On 21st August we walked the Cross Buckinghamshire Way, a distance of 25 miles from Stratton Audley on the Oxfordshire border, through Winslow, to Linslade on the Bedfordshire border: with a group of 7 starting off, and 5 completing the whole distance.
The walk started at Aldred Casey Medical Clinic The Old Post Office Clinic, Cherry Street, Bicester OX27 9AA at 9am sharp on 21st August, and we reached Winslow for a bring and share lunch in the St Laurence Churchyard at just after 2pm after 14 miles. After a short lunch break, we set off for the second leg of 10 miles, finishing up at the Globe Inn, Linslade, Leighton Buzzard LU7 2TA, just after 6.30pm, with two brave souls doing the walk from Winslow ahead of us.
