Story
100's of local people from Bolsterstone, Stocksbridge, Deepcar and local villages all contributed toward enabling the peal of 8 bells to be fitted by John Taylor & Co of Loughborough in 1892. Last year we celebrated 125 years since the bells were installed. We have had three quotes for the repairs and now need to raise funds. The current grant providers require us to raise up to 50% as match funding for any grants avialable
Bell ringing is a popular and very sociable activity that has added benfits of exercising both the brain and the body! We have a keen group of ringers and welcome new learners to join the learners ringing with us now. We often welcome visiting ringers from local other further afield areas including from overseas.
Help us to continue ringing the bells to sound throughout the valley by donating.
