I've raised £2000 to help fund an outdoor learning and nurture pod for St. Mary's RVCA Primary School in Barnard Castle.

Our school is a small, tight-knit community with children and staff who constantly strive to improve and maximise their potential. However, not all children find it easy to do so in the mainstream classroom setting. Therefore, we are aiming to raise enough money to fund an outdoor learning and nurture pod where small groups could take part in learning activities more suited to their specific needs. These groups may include children with particular social, emotional or behavioural difficulties or those who simply need a quiet space with fewer distractions. We also hope to utilise the pod for other groups of children who need to be challenged further at their attainment level, after school clubs and other valuable learning experiences.
In light of this, myself and my colleague, Mrs. Tallentire, will be attempting to run five half marathons in five days in the Teesdale area of County Durham during our final half term of the academic year (25th May - 5th June 2018), with the help of Evenwood Road Runners.
As a school, we will also be holding other fundraising events such as Cake Sales.
We would greatly appreciate any donations which would help us inch closer to our target and help give our wonderful children a fantastic learning space!
