💚🖤400 MILES TO PARIS💚🖤

We are St Marys U16s and we have been a team for over a decade, with some of our longest serving players having played for 13 years.

It has been an incredible journey that we have all been privileged to be a part of, and have watched as this fine group of rugby players have matured from young boys into young men.

With this being the final year of junior rugby we thought it would be a brilliant idea to finish on a high as for some of our boys this may be the final time they are all together as a team.

So, we started searching for a "rugby tour" we could go on that didn't interfere with GCSEs and came up with nothing...

Until we discovered the TOP 14 Final in Paris was the week after their last exams. This however posed a new problem. The cost.

As you can imagine a weekend in Paris is not cheap and in the spirit of us being a team first, we wanted to ensure that no-one was left behind because of cost, so we have been fundraising ever since so that all of the boys can go for free.

The boys (and their parents & siblings) have been doing all sorts of things from cooking and serving the senior players post match meals, to generally working in the kitchen, to organising raffles, cake sales and lots of other fundraising activities. It's been a fantastic effort so far.

Alas, we are still £2700 short of our target and we are hoping your generosity will see us over the line.

Everyone will continue to work hard doing all of the aforementioned activities but with your help and sponsorship and one big final push we think we can get all of the lads there for free.

On SUPER SATURDAY (15th March) we will endeavour to ride the 400 MILES from St Marys to the Stade De France on stationary bikes in just 12 Hours.

We will be adopting a tag team approach, with everyone taking turns to achieve the our goal, starting at 8am and finishing at 8pm just in time for the final game of the 6 Nations FRANCE v SCOTLAND.
