We're raising £3,000 for an education project.

The Topsham School and Stokeinteignhead Primary School have successfully secured a grant to link with a school in Naples, Italy. Our grant covers travel to Naples, travel whilst we are there plus the daily living costs, such as accommodation and food. This allows children from all backgrounds to experience amazing travel opportunities with their peers, making it accessible for all.

However, whilst we are there, we are keen to use some of our time to take the children to experience the rich culture on offer in Naples, including visits to Vesuvius and Pompeii to enrich their learning as part of History and Geography. In order to do this, we have set the children the challenge of cycling the 1500 miles to Naples from Devon as a team.

The children will work as one team across two schools to cover the distance on static exercise bikes during the course of one day. Each will cover around 40 miles of the total distance, which we think is a BIG challenge.

In addition to this, the children have also organised their own fundraising ideas and efforts. The children at Topsham School will also be offering to wash cars for a donation to the cause, whilst the children at Stokeinteignhead will be selling refreshments, including pizza slices.
