Story

I am a unit trustee and treasurer for unit 321 of the Sea Cadets in Stoke on Trent. We have been impacted by the pandemic and have also been unsucessful at gaining funding for a new Trinity 500 training boat. If the charity owned a boat they can provide water based training all year around for years to come, so potentially providing valuable team building skills and recognised water based qualifications for hundreds of young people aged 10-18 years. We currently have to travel out of the area to train. If we could train locally we will get more time on the water and can help more of the young people of North Staffordshire to gain valuable lifetime skills.

Today we launch our own ZERO to £5k project to purchase the boat and the equipment needed to maximise its use. Our plan is to do this locally. Our Facebook page has some great images and videos of our cadets training using a Trinity. Imagine how many young people this could benefit for a decade of use.
