Story
I bought my Canon Eos 5D and several lenses back in 2007 when I was still earning professionally from my photography. Since then I've been mostly working for free (or perhaps I should say 'for love'?) supporting lots of charities, non-profit organisations, community projects and many other worthy causes that I felt were deserving of attention and support.
The biggest test for me was when the digital revolution enabled anyone to produce decent images, without all the specialist knowledge that I'd spent years acquiring. With ever more people competing for paid work (and many more hobbyists willing to take work on for nothing) I had to decide whether to give it up or find a new way forward. That's when I realised that if I was meant to continue my 'calling', the universe would somehow find ways to provide what I needed, so I simplified my life in order to survive on much less.
So here I am asking the universe (and all of you) whether I'm meant to carry on sharing the love through my work, by shining a light on those who share my vision of a world of kindness, care and compassionate understanding. So please, if you enjoy what I do and would like to see me continue documenting life's unsung heroes and the joy they bring to those less fortunate, give me a sign (by way of a few quid) to replace my worn out camera and broken lens so I can carry on the good work?
Many thanks and blessings in advance for your generosity!
Love Stone :) xxx

7 years agoMy heartfelt thanks and blessings for all your kindness and appreciation of my work, especially to the 68 generous souls who together donated a mindblowing £1,548, but also to the hundreds of others who supported and shared this campaign! This should enable me to purchase a 2nd hand but lightly used Canon Eos 5D mk3 and pay to get my damaged main lens fixed and working again, so thank you once more for the massive show of faith in what I do and for enabling me to continue! See you all in a field, through a lens, very soon - I love you! <3

7 years agoMy heartfelt thanks to the 33 friends who have so far donated a total of £718 towards new equipment - bless you all! Back in September, when my replacement camera body fizzled and died, I had to bring my old camera out of retirement in order to carry on producing images. Sadly, this old faithful bit of kit (9 years and 2 million images old!) finally died on boxing day when the shutter mechanism fell apart and jammed, so I'm now without a camera for the first time in 30 years! Fingers crossed for more donations now that xmas is over! ;) xxx

8 years agoWOW! I just took a sneaky peak at my campaign, hoping there might have been the odd quid or two donated so far, but I wasn't prepared for what I found; a whole bunch of tenners and twenties, so I'm rather moist-eyed as I type this. I feel truly blessed for the show of love and support so far - thank you all from the deepest depths of my much-swelled blood-pumping love organ! <3 xxx
