Domestic Abuse affects 1 in 4 women.

I aim to raise money to support women who have/are victims of Domestic Abuse. Women tend to stay in an abusive relationship not because they want to but because they are terrified of the alternative. Financially unstable, nowhere to stay and children are a few of the many reasons.

This cause is very close to me as i was once a victim. I fully understand the process and struggle from being in an abusive relationship to coming out of it. There is a tremendous amount of support for Domestic Abuse victims. However, there is not enough financial support due to lack of funding. In most cases women will flee with absolutely nothing. I hope to raise enough money so that organisations can provide women/children with basic necessaties.

I was fortunate as i had a very supportive family/friends. Unfortunately this is not the case for most women. Sadly this is stopping women from taking a step towards freedom.
