Story
Stourbridge FC are a local non league football team from the town of Stourbridge in the Dudley Borough. They currently play their football in Southern League Premier Division Central which is the 7th tier of the English football league system.
The club was founded in 1876, originally as Stourbridge Standard. They play their football at the War Memorial Athletic Ground which has been the home of Stourbridge FC since 1888.
Unfortunately the club have run into some issues with the ground as over time the surrounding banks have deteriorated meaning that a number of stands around the ground will need to be taken down as they are to close to the edge.
The club are doing everything within their power and working closely with all the right people to find a solution. However, whichever option the club choses to take, it will no doubt be extremely costly.
We came over to the club at the beginning of this season creating the clubs new under 14 girls team. A big factor when making the move was that the club had a very successful Women's Team that had not long found themselves winning back to back to back promotions. With this comes a proven pathway for our own girls to get their feet into first team football.
The parents, along with family and friends of the Stourbridge FC U14 girls team are coming together and hosting a number of events throughout June to raise as much money as possible to help the club in anyway we can. Even if we can raise enough just to help the club finance its youth teams, which can in turn then allow the club to focus all its resources on saving the ground and saving this wonderful club.
On the 7th June, the U14 Girls will be hosting a charity football match, where the parents, family and friends all lace up their boots and take to the pitch. This will then be followed by the girls and coaches challenging themselves to do 5000 keepie uppies over 20 days. The events will be finished off on the 28th June, when our parents and players will be taking to the streets to run a 'Lap of Champions' (Following our league win) and running to every pitch they've played on this season, before finishing back at Stourbridge FC's clubhouse, tallying up a massive 61 miles along the way.
Stourbridge FC is so much more than just its football team, Its also the community that the club does so much in, for people from all walks of life.
We ask now that you please get behind us and help us Save Our Club!
