As youth leaders it breaks our hearts when young people come to us hungry and not knowing when their next meal might be and this can happen for many reasons, often because their family is in financial crisis, we are "Hungry For Change" we want to deliver some basic food workshops to our young people where they can learn from us how to prepare a meal, follow a recipe, follow a budget and learn how to cook that meal, these are skills they can take home with them and will put them on good footing for adult life too, The children will then get to eat what they have made, therefore addressing the hunger issue too. The children will make a little extra when cooking so that they can take some home to their families. There may also be scope during the holidays, if we meet our target, to provide a family food workshop to get families cooking together.
