Story
This is our boy Kingston. He is 11 years old.kingston was born with spina bifida and Hydrocephalus and had to have a shunt put in his head to move fluid away from his brain after days of being born.He has since had multiple operations on his feet but in spite of all his medical needs Kingston is a great boy and makes friends with everyone ,he is caring and thoughtful to everyone.
Kingstons main passion in life is football from watching sky sports news all day to watching his local team play or going to see liverpool. It was when watching his local team rectory rangers play that he asked could he play for them as a dad it broke my heart but I had to explain his limitations ,but I rang our local council to see of they had anything to offer for him.I finally got in contact with 1 of two clubs in n.ireland Lightning power chair football team.we arranged to go down to see them and see how it worked and to give him ago.Kingston loved it and has moved from the development part of the team to 1 of the first names on the team sheet.
I'm so proud to see him express himself on the pitch and have a laugh with his team mates.Kingston has also been training with the n.ireland team which has just been set up and was selected to go to England to play in the home nations cup of which n.ireland came second with Kingston providing the block that helped the team score against the Republic of Ireland.
He has done all this in a powered wheelchair that is not as good or that can hit the ball as hard as other players around him, which is why we are trying to get him funding for a strike force which will give him the same chair as everyone else and to help him realise his full potential as a player .Please donate what you can as every little helps and share this so more people see it,thanks so much for reading this and hopefully we can help Kingston live his dream.
