Story
The team taking part: Chris Sharp
Last year one Stretford CC stalwart suffered a stroke on holiday and received brilliant support from the local Stroke Services in Trafford and in Lancaster Hospital. He has made a good recovery and continues to access vital services to aid his recovery.
Three years earlier, a former Stretford Cricket Club overseas player was not as fortunate. He suffered a stroke while playing a first class match for Namibia and unfortunately passed away a week later. Stretford continue to play a tournament in his name each year and send money to The Raymond van Schoor Foundation in support.
Meanwhile in order to promote healthy life styles, improve access to sport and help our cricket club develop its facilities for use by all we have to continually raise funds.
Any funds we raise, for two causes that are so close to our hearts at Stretford will be split equally.
Thank you and please give all you can to help change lives
