Strong foundations are a newly formed non-for profit organisation providing temporary accommodation and services for vulnerable women, based in Great Horton, Bradford. Strong Foundations seeks to provide a safe environment for service users at risk of domestic and sexual violence, homelessness, care leavers and woman experiencing housing difficulties. Including woman whom may find themselves vulnerable during times of crisis. This includes females from all socioeconomic, religious and ethnic backgrounds. Domestic and Sexual violence harms the whole of society and impacts across all sections of our local communities. It damages woman adults aged 16-24 more so than any other group, and it has a significant impact on individual health and wellbeing, which can seriously affect whole life experience. Young woman leaving care in Bradford will be provided with the necessary life skills they need to become independent at a manageable pace. Prevention and support services will be made available, to woman who are ex-offenders or at risk of offending. Strong Foundations will provide ongoing support to enable them to resettle effectively and reduce the likelihood of reoffending. By delivering group support, personalised, and one to one support.
