    Story

I need your help, and believe me when I say I'm incredible hesitant about this, embarrassed about having to ask others for their money when so many other greater causes deserve it. I learn new editing and animation skills through YouTube, but I would love to create videos and animations right now - so I can sharpen my skills for university, where they expect me to have skills in these areas already; even though I don't yet.

I've already tried downloading free editing software (Filmora, Free trials of Adobe, Davinci Resolve, etc.) but none can be run smoothly on my beat up, second hand laptop. I've tried online versions such as Kizoa and ClipChamp but they are incredibly limited for the types of videos and animations I want to make. The current free animation software I use is called Blender - and it is perfect - but not only can my laptop not run it well, but it isn't a supported software in the university I want to go to. Meaning I need to purchase more official animation software such as Cinema4D. A drawing tablet is necessary for my university course and before I start it in September I desperately want to get used to using one so that I can jump right into my course. I had originally spent months saving up for a drawing tablet, but needed to then spend the money on buying a passport for the first time for ID.

I recently graduated from college after having studied creative media for two years. For most of my life I had no planned destination, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my future. For the longest time I'd felt as though I didn't belong somewhere as prestigious as university, that I could never have the skills or the money to keep up.

But I knew I had to go, so that in the end my studies would land me a well paying job doing something I loved; animation. And so I could use that money to provide for my family who have been incredibly poor my entire life. I would be fulfilling the promise I made when I was only 10 - after having seen my mother breakdown after another weekend of no food in the house I silently vowed to share any money I ever earned with her and my siblings.

What I plan to buy with the money raised (if possible):

A second hand macbook pro (the one laptop I know can somewhat handle the software), Adobe After Effects (for amazing effects for my videos and animations. I will stick with free editing software for now as it can get rather expensive), a Wacom drawing tablet (cheap and easy to use), ToonBoom 2D animation software (for anything I can't do in Blender).

Any left over money will be given to my family to help relieve them of money troubles for some time.

Thank you so much for your help. Trust me when I say I've been trying to solve this problem by myself for the longest time, I just need this little boost.
